Cast bronze adopts the lost-wax casting process. Artisans first create clay and wax molds, then pour molten copper at high temperatures for integral one-piece forming. This method is ideal for intricate figurative sculptures and antique-style memorial sculptures, boasting delicate detailing, a solid and substantial texture, strong corrosion resistance, and suitability for long-term outdoor display.
Forged copper uses copper sheets as raw materials. Craftsmen shape the sheets by manual hammering, forming curved surfaces through external force. It features smooth, graceful lines and is mostly applied to relief sculptures and abstract landscape decorations.
Both cast bronze and forged copper sculptures can receive surface finishing treatments such as antique patination and colored painting. Cast bronze works exude a solemn, weighty aura, while forged copper pieces appear elegant and vivid.
