University-Enterprise Collaboration Boosts County Development | Xinte Sculpture Group Cooperates with the School of Finance, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics on Special Research

In response to work arrangements concerning county industrial revitalization and the fostering of new quality productive forces, a research team of faculty and students led by Wen Bohui, Vice Dean of the School of Finance, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, visited Xinte Sculpture Group on the afternoon of July 13 to carry out field research under the theme "New Finance Empowerment · Countywide In-depth Research".During the visit, Wu Xueru, Chairman of Xinte Sculpture Group, warmly received the research team and gave a comprehensive introduction to the enterprise’s development history, industrial layout, featured product lines and current business performance. As a leading enterprise in Quyang’s carving industry, Xinte Sculpture Group was founded in 2002. Rooted in Quyang’s thousand-year carving culture, the group focuses on its core sculpture business and has established a full-industry-chain development model covering landscape planning, design creation, finished product processing and on-site construction. Relying on standardized production bases and a professional R&D design team, the group has won numerous industry honors at all levels. Its products are widely applied in diverse scenarios including urban landmarks, rural cultural tourism and campus landscapes, making it a benchmark enterprise for the transformation and upgrading of distinctive traditional county industries. The research team toured the enterprise’s production workshops, art exhibition halls and R&D center on site, observing the integrated application of traditional stone carving craftsmanship and modern digital creation technologies up close. They gained in-depth insights into the group’s industrial layout, operation model, innovative development and achievements in talent cultivation through university-enterprise cooperation. The school stated that field visits to featured real enterprises in Quyang lie at the heart of the "New Finance Empowerment · Countywide In-depth Research" initiative. Only by going deep into industrial frontlines can the university accurately identify the real financial demands of county-level real economy. Leveraging the university’s think tank strengths in finance and economics, the school will help enterprises optimize financing plans and interpret supportive policies, empowering the high-quality development of Quyang’s distinctive sculpture industry with professional expertise. At the forum, both sides held in-depth discussions on core topics including industrial upgrading, corporate operation, talent training and financial empowerment. Addressing key industrial development issues, Wu Xueru elaborated on the enterprise’s predicament of talent shortage. He stressed that sculpture is a highly practical specialized industry, and hands-on competence stands as the core of talent cultivation and corporate innovation. Most practitioners in the industry currently lack solid practical capabilities, and there is a severe shortage of interdisciplinary professionals, failing to meet the demands of digital transformation of traditional crafts and large-scale industrial upgrading. The lack of competent talents has become a major bottleneck restricting the high-quality development of both individual enterprises and Quyang’s sculpture industry as a whole. In response to the industry’s current situation and challenges, Vice Dean Wen Bohui fully recognized the profound heritage and remarkable transformation achievements of Quyang’s carving industry. Combined with the modernization progress of the sector, she offered professional guidance on future talent training and innovative development paths for the industry. This research activity has built a communication and cooperation bridge between university and enterprise, effectively linking the university’s talents, scientific research and think tank resources with county-level real industries. Moving forward, Xinte Sculpture Group will further deepen university-enterprise collaboration with Tianjin University of Finance and Economics. Drawing on the enterprise’s practical industrial platform and the university’s strengths in talent cultivation and scientific innovation, both parties will target the core challenge of talent shortage in Quyang’s carving industry. Centered on industry-education integration, practical talent training and intellectual support for enterprises, the two sides will step up cultivation of high-caliber practical industrial professionals to fill the talent gap of the sector. They will promote in-depth integration of traditional carving craftsmanship with modern technologies, financial resources and human capital, deliver mutual empowerment and coordinated progress, drive the transformation and upgrading of Quyang’s distinctive traditional industry, and inject sustained synergy from university-enterprise cooperation into county industrial revitalization and the cultivation of new quality productive forces
